CARRY-ON BAGGAGE

This policy applies to all Chrono Aviation flights operated by Chrono Jet on Dash-8 and/or Boeing 737 aircraft. If your itinerary includes flights by other airlines, contact that carrier for their carry-on guidelines.

Regardless of your destination, you can bring 1 standard article and 1 personal article.

Maximum dimensions include wheels and handles. Carry-on baggage must be light enough to store overhead unassisted.

EXAMPLES OF ALLOWABLE ITEMS

  • Carry-on bag, roller bag, backpack, diaper bag, briefcase
  • Electronic devices (laptop computer)
  • Cat or small dog in carrier
  • Airport shopping and duty-free purchases
  • Sport racquet (tennis, squash, badminton), musical instrument
  • Camera bag, diplomatic or consular bag
  • Garment bag

RESTRICTED AND PROHIBITED ITEMS

Specific restrictions apply to some items, while others cannot be brought aboard at all. See the "Restricted and Prohibited Items" page for details.

OTHER SPECIAL ITEMS

  • Coat or outer garment
  • Small purse (max. 25 x 30 x 14 cm / 10 x 12 x 5.5 in). Larger purses count toward carry-on allowance.
  • Child restraint device (if seat purchased for child)
  • Snacks or food to eat onboard (must be wrapped or in container)
  • No personal alcoholic beverages allowed onboard.
  • Smoking accessories: one book of matches per passenger, butane (Bic-type) lighters, electronic cigarettes (must remain stowed and unused in carry-on).

ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Most electronic devices are acceptable as carry-on. However, Canadian Aviation Regulations prohibit the use of the following devices onboard:

  • Bluetooth headsets
  • Laser pointers
  • Printers and computer peripheral devices
  • Radio controlled toys
  • Radio transmitters
  • Wireless headsets
  • Wireless computer mouse

MEDICATION

Always carry prescription medications in carry-on baggage, especially for heart disease, diabetes, or seizures. Passengers with severe allergies should carry EpiPens as normally done.

MEDICAL OR MOBILITY DEVICE

  • Mobility aids (braces, cane, crutches, walker)
  • Battery-powered medical equipment (contact airline to confirm)
  • Medication in original, labeled container
  • Syringes or hypodermic needles for personal medical use (EpiPen) with intact needle guards, accompanied by prescription medication with printed label.

CREMATED REMAINS

Cremated remains may be carried onboard (in addition to carry-on allowance) if they meet size regulations. Must be in a tight, sealed container (cardboard or wooden box acceptable). Crematorium certificate required for security purposes.

WEDDING DRESSES

Wedding dresses may be carried onboard and stored in the overhead bin if the garment bag meets carry-on limits. Note: items in overhead bins may shift during flight, potentially causing wrinkles, crushing, or tearing.
