22 x 14 x 9 in (56 x 36 x 23 cm)
18 x 14 x 8 in (45 x 35 x 20 cm)
Maximum dimensions include wheels and handles. Carry-on baggage must be light enough to store overhead unassisted.
Specific restrictions apply to some items, while others cannot be brought aboard at all. See the "Restricted and Prohibited Items" page for details.
Most electronic devices are acceptable as carry-on. However, Canadian Aviation Regulations prohibit the use of the following devices onboard:
Always carry prescription medications in carry-on baggage, especially for heart disease, diabetes, or seizures. Passengers with severe allergies should carry EpiPens as normally done.
Cremated remains may be carried onboard (in addition to carry-on allowance) if they meet size regulations. Must be in a tight, sealed container (cardboard or wooden box acceptable). Crematorium certificate required for security purposes.
Wedding dresses may be carried onboard and stored in the overhead bin if the garment bag meets carry-on limits. Note: items in overhead bins may shift during flight, potentially causing wrinkles, crushing, or tearing.
